[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]With Halloween rapidly approaching we thought we’d have a little (practical if you’re in desperate need of a costume) fun this week to get into the Halloween spirit!

We’ve all been there. The last minute invite to a Halloween party that you can’t turn down. The realization that Halloween is two days away, and while your kids have the enthusiasm of fans at a free Taylor Swift concert you haven’t thought at all about potential costumes. Oh, and you have exactly zero free time between now and Halloween to buy an costume.  But fear not – we’ve got you covered. We compiled a list of ten totally original (well, probably the Trump costume isn’t going to be that original this year), costumes you can pull together with items you already have in your closet. Heck, you might even be able to turn the outfit you wore to work into one of these costumes.

If you happen to use one of the ideas below tweet a photo – we’re @Providge – or, share one on our Facebook page. Happy Halloween![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_carousel slide_to_scroll=”single” slides_on_desk=”1″ slides_on_tabs=”1″ slides_on_mob=”1″ speed=”800″ autoplay=”off”][vc_column_text]

Claire Dearing, Jurassic World

clairedearing

Claire Dearing offers you two great costume options. The before – white blouse, white flippy skirt, white belt cinched over the un-tucked blouse, neutral heels. Perfect hair. The after – lavender tank top, ripped and ratty blouse tied at the waist, a flippy white skirt that’s so covered in dirt no amount of dry-cleaning will salvage it. And neutral heels. Also, if you happen to have one hanging out in your backyard, a T. Rex will really complete the look.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Gordon Gekko, Wall Street (and Wall Street 2, and Wall Street Never Sleeps)

gordongekko

Suspenders? Contrast collar button down shirt? Pleated suit pants? Hideous tie from the ’80s? Bam – you’re Gordon Gekko. Complete the look with a gigantic, brick of a phone if you have one on hand.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Men in Black

meninblack

Such a classic movie. And such an easy costume. All you need is a black suit, a white shirt, a black tie, and don’t forget the sunglasses. You never know when someone might try to use a neuralyzer to wipe your memory of the alien sighting you witnessed.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Donald Trump

donaldtrump

Oh, the Donald. Everyone’s favorite bombastic presidential candidate. For this costume simply don a suit, a red or blue tie, and spend all of Halloween wildly gesticulating at everyone around you. Make sure to say “It’s going to be HUGE!” a lot, and throw in the occasional, “When I’m president, there’s going to be so much winning, you’ll get sick of winning!” If you really want to commit, adapt the #trumpyourcat phenomenon for your noggin.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Elaine Benes

elainebenes

Throw it back to one of the most iconic TV shows by going as Elaine this Halloween. Poof the hair up, grab an over-sized suit in a drab color and bust out your best dance moves. Wait, you didn’t learn all your dance moves from Elaine?! Sorry, but you’re just missing out on some classic moves.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Secret Service Agent

secretserviceagent

It was a tough year for the Secret Service, so if you want to get in a timely cultural reference, this might be the costume for you. It’s almost too easy to assemble. Dark suit, white button-down, traditional tie, Ray-bans. The earpiece might not be something you have on hand, but that’s not a problem. Just tuck one of your Apple headphones in your ear and slip it down in your shirt. Earpiece made.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

404 Error

404error

Our one non-suit idea of the bunch, but we wanted to make sure to include an option for you casual Friday-ers. Grab some pants, and a white t-shirt or tank top. Write Error 404, and your chosen error message in permanent marker and you’ve got a costume. Not good with a pen? Print out an error 404 message and tape it to your shirt.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Bond. James Bond.

danielcraig

Really, who doesn’t want to be James Bond for Halloween? This costume is obviously best suited to a tux, but if you don’t own one you can certainly wing it with a suit. Black suit, white dress shirt, black bow tie. If you can’t figure out how to tie it, don’t worry, leave it loose and you’ll be James Bond after a fight. And don’t forget – that martini is shaken, not stirred.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Don Draper

dondraper

Don Draper once said, “If you don’t like Halloween, it’s because I haven’t tried to sell it to you.” Ok, so Don never said those exact words, but it total sounds like him, right? Arrogance, total assurance in his ability to sell you anything. Anything. This is another ridiculously easy costume to assemble – suit (I recommend gray), a nice tie, a little gel in the hair. And don’t forget the tumbler of whiskey for an authentic Don Draper look.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Jack from the first episodes of Lost

jackfromlost

Alright, alright. I know Lost premiered over a decade ago, in the pre-iPhone era, but you can’t deny the simplicity of this costume. Plus, enough time has passed that you’ll probably be the only Dr. Jack at the Halloween party. What’s needed? Black pants, and a white button down – make sure to rub a little dirt on them for authenticity. A loose dark patterned tie. And a giant polar bear. The last part is optional.[/vc_column_text][/ultimate_carousel][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Written By:
